Unionbusting Atty's, McGovern on Labor Day CBS Radio Discussing Employee Free Choice Act

Philadelphia's CBS Radio "The Big Talker" 1210 am will air August 31 at 1:00 pm EDT; EFCA poised to muzzle management and reduce employee choice in unionizing drives

PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Jackson Lewis LLP, one of the country's largest and fastest growing workplace law firms, announced today that its attorneys have been selected to host a Labor Day radio program on the topic of The Employee Free Choice Act. The program will air on the Philadelphia affiliate of CBS Radio, 1210 am, known as "The Big Talker."

"Labor day is an especially fitting time to talk about the sacred democratic rights the workplace risks losing with the passage of the Employee Free Choice Act," says Martin F. Payson, a recognized workplace law expert and partner at the national employment law firm, Jackson Lewis LLP. "We hope to provide useful information to employees and employers on this dangerous piece of legislation that Barack Obama has already agreed to make law if elected."

Mr. Payson will host the show, which will also feature George McGovern, the former United States Representative, Senator, and Democratic presidential nominee. Mr. McGovern published an opinion piece in The Wall Street Journal on August 8, 2008 articulating why EFCA threatens democracy as we know it in this country by effectively silencing those in the labor movement who most need their voices heard.

Additional guests will include Home Depot co-founder Bernie Marcus, and
Jackson Lewis partner Michael J. Lotito.

Hopefully, this program will invite callers to question and make comments.
