Members of the United Steelworkers local 3141 union turned down Griffin Pipe's latest offer on Saturday.
"The union turned down the offer 147 to 36," said Scott Punteney, local union president. "It was the same offer as the last, not much changed.
The company turned away nearly 270 employees of Griffin Pipe on Jan. 28 because of failed negotiations.
Although locked out, company employees are willing to work while negotiations take place.
"It's up to the company on what their next move will be," Punteney said.
For the employees, it has never been about the money but rather seniority but the company seems to be unwilling to talk with their employees.
"Employees who have been there the longest should get first pick on other jobs available," Punteney said. "They e-mailed the offer we just turned down," Punteney said.
It seems, for now, that negotiations are back on the table and both sides are waiting.
