Edited on Sat Apr-22-06 08:38 PM by Gabi Hayes
looking at precinct results, provisional ballots disqualified, where what voting machines were used, voter suppression, changing Kerry to Bush votes: cost Kerry 70K votes

rejected votes: 92 THOUSAND. probably 20K vote advantage there for Kerry

that's 90 thousand, and he lost by 118K

lots of SW Ohio votes for gay marriage/against Kerry; how come?

Bob Fitrakis, Richard Hayes Phillips on now

have fun

and they encouraged/forced people returning to work within a week to NOT wear masks, despite the toxic dust still in the air?

14. guess where the messed up machines (Diebold), longest lines were?
not that this is news, but they were in Cleveland and Toledo, which were heavily Democratic

7 hour waits at many inner city polling places

check out Richard Hayes Phillips.....he did ballot counts, which matched the EXIT Polls. these showed at the time of the election that something was amiss

And it pisses me off even more that Kerry gave in so easily that morning.

the crucible, but it STILL took the SCOTUS to STOP the counting in Dade county for them to steal that one

did you see the Brooks Brothers Riot thread last night?

the guy who COINED the phrase, and was one of the instigators there, just got one of the jobs ROVE gave up the other day!

22. Did you hear how he described the ballots being moved from precienct
Edited on Sat Apr-22-06 09:07 PM by BrklynLiberal
to prec. They switched thousands of ballots from one where Kerry was on top of ballot to one where Bush was on top, and vice versa, so in effect, votes cast for Kerry were counted as votes for Bush! (They took ballots from Dem districts to Repuke districts and vice versa to reverse the outcome)
Ballots were supposed to be coded to indicate the prec they were from, but
he said they had same code, so computer could not tell what prec they were from.

5. comparing ballots re: gay marriage amendment vs. Kerry votes
as well as liberal candidates who voted for them and NOT Kerry

every place he checked, an African American, gay-friendly judge candidate in Cleveland had her ballot show that 57% of those voting for her voted for BUSH!

these were hand checks of actual and/or digital copies of individual ballots

we really do need paper ballots

BUT, as the guest said, they accomplished a LOT with old fashioned ballot stuffing, apparently by taking the boxes from one place to another, so they couldn't be monitored by any Democratic poll/ballot watchers, or whatever they call them

Brooks Brothers Brownshirt Brigade

Brooks Brothers Rioters in the White House....

Several of the rioters ended up with top White House jobs, including Matt Schlapp (#6), the White House political director, and Gary Malphrus (#2), deputy director of the White House Domestic Policy Council.

Today another rioter, Joel Kaplan, was given one of Karl Rove's jobs (Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy), a promotion from his current job as White House deputy budget director. Kaplan has never expressed any regrets; in fact he bragged about his role.

about how the pugs won the last election, by using ''fear, smears, and queers'' to dupe the public.

I got so mad I couldn't keep reading it, and I'm almost positive he doesn't even MENTION vote fraud, cause he wasn't buying at the time it went to print

28. Mark Crispin Miller's serious facts with Franken's humor and reach, and
accessiblity, would be terrfic. Franken's smart enough to get it all, and by now he should know who we're dealing with and what they are capable of.
I'd like to see him cover the topic in his own book. I bet if he did there wouldn't be a peep from fox about it though.

25. I'm sure this has gotten a thorough going over before, but check it:
In order to understand the extent of the voter suppression in the inner city of Columbus and Franklin County, overwhelmingly Democratic wards, start with the phrase: “Machines Placed By Close Of Polls” on the last page of the county’s 17-page voting machine allocation report.

This phrase at the end of the spreadsheet may be the key in unraveling a deliberate and unprecedented plan to repress African American and poor central city voters. In statistics, when you see a bizarre definition or measurement, it sends up red flags. Why doesn’t the Franklin County Board of Elections have a number for “Machines Placed By Opening Of Polls”?

It now appears that the Franklin County BOE placed scores of machines too late in the day to alleviate the long lines of voters who gathered to vote before work and at lunchtime.

To better understand what the BOE did on Election Day, consider the following analogy. The near east side of Columbus needs four buses to move the population to the downtown business district. Each bus will move 100 people. At the start of the business day at 6:30am, there are only two buses running and another one with a dead battery. After a few hours, the third bus is put into use. Finally, towards the close of the work day at 6pm, a fourth bus is deployed. The Central Ohio Transit Authority then reports it had four buses operating by the end of the business day. What matters is not how many buses, or voting machines, were operating at the end of the day, but rather how many were there to service the people during the morning and noon rush hours.

Questions remain as to where these machines were placed and who had access to them during the day.

34. .."the extent of voter suppression..."
i remember being at the neighborhood bar watching the returns and the coverage on the MILES-LONG lines. it was so dis-jointed b/c they were reporting returns at this point and the fact that so many people in OHIO mysteriously were under-served by their election czars.

the news woould then cut to something totally irrelevant. no real discussion or acknowledgement, even that we were SEEING a concerted effort to disenfranchise black voters, college students, et al. in a normal world, where Ohio was in play, you'd THINK that would interest people. it interested everyone at the BAR i was at.

finally we have the numbers. finally we have proof.

30. I was just wondering about the diff 118K to 60K --
The accepted number is 118K, I thought: * beat Kerry by 118K.

Kerry has been saying that he lost by 60K -- this suggests to me that Kerry does believe that fraud happened, but just isn't saying it publicly yet...

Come on, Senator -- only the truth will set us free!

but if it stands at 118k, that would be interesting. because when asking if kerry will run again he has been pointedly stating 60k and could be his way of saying, yes i know it was stolen. get his exact quote. i made mistakes i know it and wont happen again, bush only won by 60k

<http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=364x998054>

The quote should appear in a Pitt article on truthout in the next few days...

As for the 118K - it may have dwindled to 60K during the recount? I don't think so - I am not sure where to look for this info, but will keep my eyes peeled.

37. Yeah, I was kind of wondering if it wasn't that issue...
If the 60,000 hadn't (hypothetically) voted for *, then * would have had 60K fewer votes
If the 60,000 had (hypothetically) voted for Kerry, then Kerry would have had 60K more votes

Which means that the totals would've changed by 120,000 votes...

I am still depressed that Kerry hasn't faced the fraud...

38. If we don't show up, it's all moot anyway
We need to spread that message.

2004 was another stolen one IMO. Just in Ohio there were break-ins at Democratic headquarters where computers were stolen, mysterious purging from voter rolls, Kerry votes disappearing, and sleazy phone calls from Repukes. Nationally, there were the "off" exit polls. They'll try something again if we aren't careful.

39. 2000 was stolen too -- in more old fashioned ways: purge 'n stuff
there were twists on it, but it was stolen. at the supreme court level, if no where else.

i hoonestly expected there to be HELL to pay after 2004. i was in denial for a long time that the moment was coming. now that it's upon us -- it like Luke hitting the right spot on the Deathstar. it's our last chance.
