Bush Takes Muddy Bike Ride on Earth Day
Edited on Sat Apr-22-06 02:06 PM by Rose Siding
LOS POSADOS STATE FOREST, Calif. -- President Bush marked Earth Day with a lung-busting mountain bike ride high above Napa County wine country, dodging ruts that sent several of his riding partners crashing into the mud.

The president spent Saturday morning with a small pack of riders in a foggy redwood forest about 90 minutes north of San Francisco. He relished the swampy conditions on parts of the trail in this remote state-owned tract, leading his partners repeatedly through huge puddles and streams running high after weeks of heavy rain.

"I still ride the mountain bike primarily to help settle the soul and to burn off the excess energy one gets when you're living life to its fullest," Bush told an Associated Press reporter who accompanied him on the ride.

"We're able to enjoy the beauty without really disrupting the pristine nature of the place," the mud-splattered president said after the 65-minute ride. "It's a classic way for mankind to enjoy God's gift. Plus, we get some exercise."

People hold signs critical of President Bush as his motorcade passes to go on a mountain bike ride in St. Helena, Calif. Saturday April 22, 2006.

2. Living life to the fullest?????
Was it an imposter talking to the press, or is the jerk we see on TV all the damn time the imposter?

I think the imposter is the mud splattered guy. It didn't say anything about him falling off his bike, and we know Shrub always does THAT!

16. and to burn off the excess energy one gets when you're living life...
Funny, it works quite the opposite for me; when I have a lot going on I'm exhausted at the end of the day. I have excess energy to burn when I ain't doing shit.

24. Does anybody ever believe
what he says, or even listen to him? I mean, those days are long gone when people actually sat by their radio console in the living room. The family sat there, listening to the news or reassuring comments from their Commander in chief in Washington. They listened intently.

I mean, why do they even do this anymore? Ask him what he's doing? Put the microphone up to his face, and look for inspiring words, or reassurance.

NOBODY listens to him. Nobody is interested, except for that group you see up above. Now, THEY are interested in Bush.
