With Bush's tendency toward war mongering, and the growing attacks on women's rights of late, I suspect there's an undeclared War on Women that's begun in the US. Can't have women controlling their own lives, telling men no, choosing their own fate... Must use the law against all these uppity women who think for themselves!

Personally, I'm SICK of Bush and the whole woman-hating bandwagon he rode in on... We need insurgents for the War on Women!

1. We need to convince more women of this.

Y'all control the majority of the population. There's no excuse why we can't head this off at the pass if we each (ie both men and women) try to convince our female friends that this is occurring and that it should be their highest voting priority. I know too many women who either don't know or don't care that their rights are being attacked.

I think we need to make the War on Women meme stick, but it has to be very clear that the war is being waged by REPUBLICANS and not by men in general.

3. It is not new. It has been going on since Bush started his campaign for

President. It is an integral part of the Fundie/Dominionist/Christian Reconstructionist agenda. Loss of reproduction rights are just the beginning. Ultimately they want women to lose the right to vote and own property.

The status of women would be reduced to almost that of a slave as described in the Hebrew Scriptures. A woman would initially be considered the property of her father; after marriage, she would be considered the property of her husband.
It would be logical to assume that the institution of slavery would be reintroduced, and regulated according to Biblical laws. Fathers could sell their daughters into slavery. Female slaves would retain that status for life
