'Wild Speculation"
Scottie and others have been using it all day. Calling the Iran invasion story 'Wild Speculation'.

Yet they don't deny it.

After what we have seen from this mis-administration, Wild Speculation is closer to fact than anyone would like to admit.

1. Well sure. Here is what they mean:
It's speculation about Bush's tendancy towards wild behavior = wild speculation

(also notice they don't say it's "false speculation")

2. Yep the only thing wilder than our wild speculation
is their actual plan.

3. The only thing "WILD" about Helen's speculation is...
Edited on Mon Apr-10-06 02:09 PM by file83
...that she's one of the few journalists with enough guts to persistently challenge Scotty/Bush on these hard issues, and she's 85 years old!!!

4. They're probably floating a trail balloon
To gauge the public reaction. The White House is making this an even bigger story. Deliberately, I suspect. Call me a supreme social pessimist, but they probably won't be disappointed by what they discover.

It sickens me to think of the arguments we might hear fellow Americans make if we were to nuke Iran. I'd fully expect to open my local community paper and see coments in the "Speak Out" section about how Bush was right to nuke Iran or how a "Democrat" president targeted more civilians with nuclear weapons. I'd expect to be reminded yet again how many ignorant and barbaric people we have for neighbors, co-workers, and relatives and that they're the ones running things in this country.
