Iran achieved fusion (from Dailykos
Don't know how true this is, but here it is anyway.

Iranian scientists achieved the technology of nuclear fusion via a process named tokomak. According to Mehr news agency, the students of Azad university of Iran - the science and research branch, located in north of Tehran - have achieved the fusion know-how using Tokomak machines.

1. That's great, maybe they do not need to enrich uranium.

2. Tokamak style fusion
has been around for years. but fusing a few atoms of deuterium into helium does not a working reactor make. The energy going in is many times greater than the energy out. A working fusion reactor would produce far greater energy than it uses-so far no one has done that. Too bad since there is plenty of hydrogen around.
