So Lucianne Goldberg claims to have from Dems took Abramoff money
she has this head line on her site
"Numbers that go 'Crunch!'
Howard Dean tells Wolf Blitzer that 'not one democrat took Abramoff money. Not one!"

then she links to this:

I know it's Goldberg, so as with everything she says, it should at first not be believed.
So what's the catch here? is this because it includes tribes as if they were abramoff?

1. I just checked the link.
I admit, I didn't check EVERY Dem, but the ones I did say the $$ cam from and Indian Tribe, just as Howard said it did!

3. Didn't Dean already cover that?
I liked the phrasing he used. He said the Dems got tribal money and that it wasn't the same as Abramoff money. And it's NOT! Abramoff was a key player in the K Street Project, whose very purpose was to cut off lobbyist funding to Democrats. Their own strategy is biting them in the ass now.

12. Not nearly enough discussion threads on the "K-Street Project". The
corporate media is under reporting the important element of the story.

The K-Street Project is the love-child of DeLay and Abramoff.

8. Yep the repukes are saying because dems took
tribe money from the tribes that also Abramoff took money from it means they took Abramoff money. In another words they are trying to link tribe money as Abramoff money because he took tribe money. But like Dean said Abramoff never gave one dem a dime, its all guilt by association and its like saying that the tribes money was all dirty because they also gave it to Abarmoff and dems. They ignore the fact that tribe money is not the issue its what Abramoff did with the money the tribes gave to them thats the issue. Remember oil companies, the big 3 and every other business also gives to both parties.

14. That's like saying this:
I give you money.
I give Jack money.
Therefore Jack gave you money.

9. That's such B.S.
Look at the details of some of the Democratic recipients that show a contribution as listed from Abramoff himself... when you click on the link of the recipient's name, it takes you to a page that shows you the details of who gave the money. IN EVERY SINGLE CASE, for a DEMOCRATIC recipient, the money came DIRECTLY FROM A TRIBE and not from Abramoff, even though the chart on the link that you posted shows that the $ came from an individual.

TOTAL B.S.!

10. Click on detail by doner. All the Abramhof contributions are to
Republicans. The contributions made to Democrats were by tribes that always give to Democrats anyway, because they feel they get more consideration.

Howard is right.

From that link:

"Here is a detailed look at Abramoff's lobbying, and political contributions from Abramoff, the tribes that hired him, and SunCruz Casinos, since 1999."

And again, the FEC website DOES NOT LIE. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=364&topic_id=83586&mesg_id=83586
