WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The deputy press secretary for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has been arrested on sex charges stemming from a Florida-based Internet sting, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said on Tuesday.

Brian Doyle, 55, faces 23 charges in Polk County, Florida, related to use of a computer to seduce a child and transmitting harmful material to a minor, Judd said in a statement.

Doyle was taken into custody at his home in Silver Spring, Maryland, outside Washington, on Tuesday evening while he was on the line with undercover detectives, Judd said.

"He was on his computer communicating with the undercover detective who he believed to be a 14-year-old girl at the time we knocked on his door in Maryland, took him into custody and served a search warrant," Judd said in an interview on CNN.

It just reminds us that we have to be more careful of whom we select to be our liberal heroes. Typically a high priced lawyer gets these guys off easy with the excuse being that since there was actually no victim and no one harmed, therefore their client committed no crime. Now if it's an adult with a prostitute, they get the book thrown at them. Much like if you get caught with a marijuana joint. You might get up to two years.

All that aside, we've got to be more careful who we let our kids hang around with anymore. It could be your neighbor next door, a teacher, a coach, the clergy and even another relative.
