Blood Lust for Moussaoui
Edited on Tue Apr-04-06 08:21 AM by Atman
I guess I shouldn't be surprised that so many are freaking out about Moussaoui, cheering and calling for his death. After all, Bush has done nothing but scare the shit out of Americans since 9/11, yet hasn't been able to lay a finger on anyone for the deed. (Maybe he should check the dark recesses of the WH basement, but that's for another thread). So what we have is a fucking lunatic who has copped for everything but kidnapping the Lindberg baby, and judging from callers to Washington Journal, people are lining up for the opportunity to personally throw the switch.

I don't believe in the death penalty. Period. But here is a guy who we're going to elevate to Martyrdom for his ideas and delusions of grandeur. This isn't even an eye for an eye. It is pure blood lust for someone, anyone, to pay. Four and a half years since we were "attacked," and this is all Bush has given the American people, a low-level flunky who didn't even make the first cut.

Shameful, Mr. Bush. But shameful, America, for allowing ourselves to be bamboozled by the Crawford Clown once again.

1. I Don't Believe He Knew Anything About it
I think he just wants to look like he's a big deal so he is just telling a new version of the story.

Do we kill someone for being mentally unbalanced? Oh ya, I guess we do in some states.

2. This is Why I'm Against the Death Penalty
Nothing good comes of it at all... in fact it's one more negative action responding to other negative actions. No good comes of it.

3. My Question
When does the trial for the FBI begin? I mean a good prosecutor could nail them with accessory charges, and the names of the supervising agents that just sat on their hands are already listed
in Moussaoui's trial transcripts.

7. You're right. This guy is just like the kooks who confess to murders
they have nothing to do with. He's mentally unstable. But the 'good, Christian' American people will make him a martyr to every real terrorist out there.

And if by talking to the FBI, 9-11 could have been prevented, why aren't we trying a hell of a lot of other people.....Bush, Condi, Rove, the FBI, etc?

9. If it's true he was wearing a stun belt during his testimony
Then it should be thrown out and he should be given LWOP.

Think about it.

10. He may be a patsy, a scapegoat, and this is made easier by mental illness.
If that is the case, then what a sick, perverted and heinous series of events this trial really is. Has this Administration done anything right in its bizarre "War on Terror," or is the very notion of such a "War" really a fantasy, perfectly malleable enough to destroy precious individual liberties, suppress and distort all semblence of truth, and utterly obliterate innocent lives all over the globe?
