John Conyers:In case you missed it
In case you missed it

yesterday on Face the Nation, conservative columnist David Brooks spoke about the November elections and revealed that, about two weeks ago within the conservative circles he travels, the realization emerged that the Democrats will take back the House. This is a conservative voice citing private conversations with Republican leaders. This is a sign that all of our work highlighting the incompetence of the Republican party is having an impact. Let's keep up the fight to make sure we bring accountability and a responsible government to Washington.

I appreciate all the hard work that many of you have exerted to make a difference on this blog and in your communities. I understand several people have experienced problems with registering and commenting on this site. I just want to let you know that we are working to iron out some of these technical difficulties and hope to bring more dedicated voices to this site.

you don't say anything, and that will toast the frat boy as sure as I am setting here.

7. that alone is my whole motivation
I am working on a Dem congressional campaign- Bryan Kennedy, the person running against Sensenbrenner. And while I think the world of Kennedy and want to get rid of Sensenbrenner, the thought of Conyers as the head of the Judiciary Committee is what moves me to work so hard for this: Justice at last.

biggest things that drew us together as we talked about our concerns, one of the earliest attractions of Dean, was the fiscal sanity. Women feel threatened when they see money abused. And there are a lot of women who are scared of what they see going on with this country's budget.

"We're" trying to sell our State Parks, for christ sake. That's like selling your heritage, a family farm if you had one. Our beautiful parks commercialized to Death, so that we can conduct this War of Choice.

This is a huge vulnerability for the Republicans.

15. They will if they speak to everyone about things that concern everyone.
And the financial rape of this country concerns everyone.

5. Only if the Republicans don't steal the vote again!
You are only hearing that from the honest ones not the ones running the show and controlling the vote machines maybe the marquee in the photo on Hollywood Blvd explains what will happen if it becomes that evident that they tampered with the results electronically!

11. Only one reason GOP would say that to a media person who could
then be counted on to sound the alarm: fundraising. You can bet they would never say something like that close to the election because it depresses your voters.

We haven't begun to see the administration and GOP push back against low approvals. We'll see all kinds of smears and new stories about Iraq and OBL and how well the economy is doing and and new fake environmental programs....nope, this is to scare their own base into working and coughing up dough...and I don't mean the midwestern churchgoers either. Their base is the fortune 500.

12. Very nice bleever. There's just one thing missing...
How to we deal with the "centralized voter registration database problems". We have one of those in VA and we really don't have problems but in IN, CA, CO, FL and other states they do have problems. I'm afraid of what will happen in CA when they don't fix this by the general. Lots of people won't vote in the primary, turnout is low. They they'll show up for the general and, well you know the drill, in predominantly minority districts and Marin County;), there will be lots of people left off the roles who don't vote.

I have a new term for this, it's KATRINA-IZATION OF VOTING RIGHTS

Any words of wisdom?
