Freeper quotes on Patrick J. Fitzgerald
Edited on Mon Apr-03-06 01:10 PM by cat_girl25
As everyone know, I am a big fan of Special Counsel Patrick Fitzgerald investigating the CIA Leak Investigation. One evening I thought I'd venture over to that wretched site by the name of FreeRepublic and search threads over there about the Plame Outing to see what they were saying about Fitzgerald. It wasn't pretty and it was what I expected.

According to these Bush worshipers:

he is a waste of taxpayer's money

    is fattening his bank account

    Fitzgerald is an idiot

he's hiding something, they don't know what

is protecting someone, they don't know who

    he has no case

he's prosecuting Libby when he knows that Libby didn't do it
(so Libby didn't lie and obstruct justice?)

Libby's lawyers will eat him for lunch

    this is prosecutorial misconduct
    (so say the Freepers)

    Fitzgerald is a SOB

    Fitzgerald should be indicted

    Fitzgerald is an ass

Fitzgerald is a #1 Dem lap dog buffoon

That's all I could remember but there is more. Some wanted to know how much Fitzgerald and his staff has billed the taxpayers for personal expenses. And then one of them wanted to know why Fitzgerald would stick his tongue out after he would answer the reporters questions during his news conference. I'd like to see that freeper speak and answer questions for over an hour and not want to lick your lips or whatever from speaking so much.

13. I have worked with the Mentally Retarded for many years.
I have found many Mentally Retarded citizens to be honest, trusting, caring, and many times excellent judges of character.

Republicans may be right about one thing it is character, which is something many Republicans totally lack.

20. Willfully ignorant?
That's how I see them. They would rather stick their heads in the sand and pretend they're right, rather than lean the truth and face reality.

23. That's pretty much my take on them, too. They would rather
stick to their preconcieved notions than to accept the truth and reality. Their minds are made up and you can't confuse them with facts. All things are interpreted according to the gospel of Bush.

8. Fitzgerald is a Republican
And he's going after everyone, dem or rep, here in Chicago. FRetards are gnawing off their own limbs in frustration; even their slope-headed in-laws are calling them idjits for sucking up to Bush and the disaster he has been for this country.

12. My understanding is that he is neither Republican nor Democrat
As a matter of fact, he registered as an independent at some point, but then withdrew that when he realized that Independent was an actual party.

As I understand it, he is nonpartisan to the extreme.

He must be honest and is doing what needs to be done.

11. The whole idea that he is making any money out of this just
go to show how much they are grasping at straws. Or how little they know about how the federal legal system works when it comes to pay. His salary doesn't change an iota, regardless of how much he works, how long this case goes or even if he's working on this case. And as far as "personal expenses", there just really aren't any reimbursements without the cost being approved by a judge first.

21. Those were pretty lame...
even for the freepers. They know there is nothing bad they can honestly say about him, so with their limited intelligence, they come up with the lame stuff they posted.

I doubt Fitz spends nights awake worrying about what people think of him. And that works all in our favor!!!!

Cat, I must respond to the F*eekers. They're so cute when they're mad, aren't they?

>he is a waste of taxpayer's money<

Let's talk "waste of taxpayer's money," shall we? How about seven years and $70 million to find a stained blue dress?

>is fattening his bank account<

Yeah. He gets paid, but I'll bet after one divides his work week into the cash he's paid, the taxpayers of the USA are getting a bargain. Of course, it's okay when Halliburton or other right-wing concerns make massive profit off the taxpayer's dime.

>Fitzgerald is an idiot<

Hmmm. Lemme' see here. Patrick Fitzgerald went to Regis High School in New York City, which requires an entrance exam, which requires three years of LATIN, which requires students to keep their grades up or they get kicked out. He graduated from Amherst and was Phi Beta Kappa, so you know he was cracking the books there. He got into (and graduated from,) Harvard Law. He wasn't a legacy admission, so you KNOW he is a) brilliant and b) must have had amazing referral letters from his undergrad professors.

Then again, that Ivy League degree must not mean as much as it used to. Yale gave one to George W. Bush.

I wonder if those criticizing our beloved PF would be willing to forward their high school and college transcripts. We'll see who the "idiot" is, won't we?

>he's hiding something, they don't know what<

He's keeping the lid on his investigation, unlike other special prosecutors who spent most mornings holding a press conference at the base of their driveway just to hear themselves talk.

>is protecting someone, they don't know who<

He's protecting those who aren't named in indictments. That's the way it's supposed to be.

>he has no case<

Yeah, that's why he managed to get the first indictments of a member of the White House executive staff in 130 years. That's also why Libby has FOUR different attorneys, not to mention their associates and staff.

>he's prosecuting Libby when he knows that Libby didn't do it (so Libby didn't lie and obstruct justice?)<

I'm sure it's his life's dream to be charged with prosecutorial misconduct. Unfortunately for our friends on the dark side, it's not going to happen. Libby has no defense.

>Libby's lawyers will eat him for lunch<

Actually, it's the other way around. Libby's attorneys have been fairly unsuccessful in their quest to get the case thrown out, to get Fitzgerald removed for "lack of oversight," on and on and on and on. Libby's probably burning several thousands of dollars an hour for his legal advice.

>this is prosecutorial misconduct (so say the Freepers)<

He did his investigation, he sees a crime has been committed. He is doing what the law (and what the government,) is asking him to do. How exactly is this "prosecutorial misconduct"?

>Fitzgerald is a SOB<

I'm sure his mother was a very nice person. She raised an amazing son, that's for sure ;-). She's no longer living, so one would think that the F*eekers wouldn't stoop so low as to say something nasty about someone's late mother, but we're talking about the F*eekers here, aren't we?

>Fitzgerald should be indicted<

For what? Being smarter than the entire Bush administration?

>Fitzgerald is an ass<

Again, we don't know. Maybe he goes home and kicks the cat. (Probably not.) His critics are remarkably quiet. Those who think he's tremendous are legion.

>Fitzgerald is a #1 Dem lap dog buffoon<

Yup. That's right. He's a biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig Democrat. That's why he's a two-time Bush appointee (like Bush would ever appoint a Democrat to anything.) That's why he's gone out of his way to indict lawbreakers regardless of party affiliation, why he changed his voting registration to "no party" and why Al Gore recognized him publicly as doing his job "without fear nor favor."

>And then one of them wanted to know why Fitzgerald would stick his tongue out after he would answer the reporters questions during his news conference.<

Cat, didn't he ask for some water a couple of times?

24. Hi Julie!
No, I don't believe HE ever asked for water but one of the lawyers sitting against the wall mentioned it. I'm sure they knew he was probably thirsty. Imagine that....a tall drink of water needing a drink of water. ;-)

They can't criticize what he had to say, so they're going after him for facial mannerisms.
