Is there ANYONE who believes gwb didn't want to go to war in Iraq? (F word

warning)

Now, there are those ignorant folks who may believe that he had to launch this illegal invasion/occupation because of Saddam's (non-existent) WMD's or involvement in 9/11.

However, I can't believe there is a single soul out there who would believe that gwb reluctantly and with great misgivings went to war when no other diplomatic option was available.

gwb advertised his goal of attacking Iraq for at least 18 months before we went in.

This is general knowledge, and even gwb's most ardent supporters can offer only an ineffective and unconvincing argument to the contrary.

I sometimes wonder if, as Bill Maher says, we suffer from "fuck-up fatigue". MKJ

In 2000+ posts, I haven't used the "F" word, however, it is entirely appropriate in describing the country's mood. MKJ

5. Well, I will often say that bushco is greedy, amoral, abusive, ignorant,
life-sucking, evil, worthless, treasonous and all the men in the administration have remarkably small penises.

2. That criminal piece of shit was creaming his pants about war
during the election.

The stupid warmongering fuck had Iraq invasion sex dreams in 1999 as soon as he realized he was a contender for the presidency.

Just like a small boy with no moral compass, he had visions of the ultimate toy soldier set and all the fun he could have with it.

And that's all it was with him - a really neato fun game, waging war.

The fucker is, I think, finally learning that it isn't just a neato game that he could play and win and pack up the pieces and go home.

9. So sad, but true. The Iraqi people never had a chance.
He made war with Iraq a "done deal" long before we dropped the bombs.

3. I think there was only one way for Bush to have not launched the war
and that is when he gave Saddam the ultimatum of "leave or else" and if then Saddam had fled the country then there would have been no war. But chances are they knew Saddam would never voluntarily leave his rule of Iraq anyway.

8. Of course Saddam wasn't going to leave. I think if Saddam had defied the
odds and actually left, we would have been presented with the back-up "evil guy", whom Saddam annointed as the evildoer in absentia, and gwb would have invaded anyway.

6. Not for people who choose to or are able to 'really' follow the
news, and that means the internet. However, the truth is seeping out. I was heartened by Tweety's show, of all places, yesterday, focusing on the (2nd) memo, RE: run-up to war. That got more coverage than the DSM did!
I think more people are becoming aware and not so willing to walk in lock-step nowadays.

This shit was planned by the folks that made puppet boy the pres., bush has not made ONE single policy decision since he's been the president. It's a continuation of what they were trying to do when their last puppet got beat by Bill Clinton.

11. attacking saddam is THE reason he went into politics in the first place
he found his purpose in life when poppy stopped short of baghdad. that was when he threw he hooked up with some media savvy powers that be to plot to become president one day. that is when he claimed to be born again, that is when he claimed to have sobered up, that is when they started to plan his rise to power, starting with giving him the governorship of texas (the easiest job in politics) and a media-driven big re-election as a launching pad for a presidential bid.

looking at everything he says and does, his body language, etc., it's obvious that the ONLY thing he has EVER been interested in (as far as governing goes) was attacking saddam.

that was the ENTIRE reason for him entering politics in the first place.

12. "Reluctantly..."
I couldn't possibly ever believe Bush was "reluctant" to send troops to die - it's how the Bushies prove their manhood. I knew he would find a "reason" to go after Saddam the instant I heard in 1999 that he was going to run for president. Connecting Saddam/9-11/al Qaeda was the 3-in-1 Mystery Oil he used to grease Amurika's way into this mess.

This administration is nothing but a bunch of con-artist criminals, who only got as far as they did with the aiding and abetting of our negligently criminal news media. Most of those ignorant folks who believe the Iraq Attack was necessary were led to that conclusion by those lying bastards. Even now, they keep it up, even knowing that most of us now know that they know they're lying.

Somewhere there's a photo of Bush doing a fist-down gesture that looks like he's saying "Yes!" as he's told that Baghdad is under attack - There's reluctance for you.

17. Shrub is the Sock Puppet for the Neo Fascists.
'One of the keys to being seen as a great leader is to be seen as commander in chief. My father had all this political capital built up when he drove the Iraqis out of Kuwait and he wasted it. If I have a chance to invade, if I had that much capital, I'm not going to waste it. I'm going to get everything passed that I want to get passed and I'm going to have a successful presidency.'
