11. We had a bomb threat at the court house one day..and the theory was
someone did not WANT to come to court, so they sent out a bomb threat...maybe someone on Market Street wanted a day off?

12. Not surprising since the town is full of Freeper fundy teenagers
all out there testifying as fast as they can. Undoubtedly one of them phoned in the threat after seeing a drag queen or someone else who offended his delicate sensibilities.

This is one convention San Francisco would be wise to discourage in the future.

13. Bart closes station after suspicious package found
Edited on Mon Mar-27-06 03:38 PM by cal04
BART has closed the Embarcadero Station while San Francisco police investigate a suspicious package found above ground at the entrance at Market and Spear streets, authorities said.

Linton Johnson, BART spokesman, said police called BART officials at 11:28 a.m. and asked that they close the station and evacuate passengers.

Trains are traveling through the Embarcadero Station but not stopping, he said.

Passengers who were evacuated were informed of an emergency police action. Johnson said he did not know how long the Embarcadero Station would be closed. The discovery of the package also prompted authorities to evacuate the Federal Reserve Bank building at 101 Market St.
