1. start simple
well, you could start with text only - use any word processor, and format your message, pick fonts and font sizes and format to fit. Test print on regular paper first (I assume you have some kind of adhesive-backed stock for the stickers). Existing images are easy to bring in, you use the 'import' function usually located under 'file'.

Alternatively, you can use a paint program and add in text bubbles. I did a fairly hilarious Looney Tunes parody of conditions at work once with this.

If you want to actually draw, I don't know what to use, I've done some simple freehand stuff with MS Paint but it kind of sucked...

If it were me, I'd search the net for images that more or less fit my purpose, and then add text to deliver the message.

Do not be afraid to experiment with the various packages almost universally available, they actaully are fairly intuitive and easy to use up to a point. Make copies of any images you find first so that you work on a copy and can always start from scratch if you foul up.

If you can give me a pointer to a source for the adhesive-backed stock, I'd appreciate it !

5. Too complicated for a b-sticker.

The idea is good, but the guy laughing is maybe a bit too much.

If you are trying to get through to John + Jane average then keep it simple.

Stick to a type treatment and keep it bold, short , sweet and painfully honest.

If they have to think too long about it then chances are that they'll be distracted by something shiny and lose interest.

9. I made this for you.
I did it in black and white to save you money, but if you want colors let me know (or colored boarders, etc. - tell me which colors to use). I can also do one with Bushler instead of Alfred E. Newman. After all, the repukes want to distance themselves from Bushler.

12. ''colored boarders?'' what're you, a.....
slumlord, or something?

and how about this, in black and white, maybe, for the puzzled look on the sticker?

16. that's our Swamp Rat
Efficient, effective and effin COOL.

Now, Swampy, I am putting in a request. I think we need a new "Better Dead than Red!" campaign.

That copycat Domenech was all about some "Red America."

Being a boomer, I had a natural aversion to the moniker "Red America."
We were raised to think red meant Communist China, the USSR.

Repukes have made red their favorite color. But I say, "Better Dead Than Red."

A John Bircher would have said this thirty years ago. Today it should be the liberals' mantra.... :grr:
