be released this week. Good grief, this is beyond belief. Do we really need to hear these poor people and relive their final moments. The poor families. This is inhumane and unnecessary.
If it is deemed to be in the public interest, perhaps these tapes can be available in a private setting. We know this will make the airwaves. How can I keep from hearing this? This is grist for nightmares. What genius made this decision?

I admit to a prurient interest in finding out what people had to say as they figured out -- some sooner than most, I suspect, that they were doomed. However, to I have a right to such information? Probably not. What's already been released (calls from 20 or so people in or around the buildings, which were released very early on) probably meets all legitimate needs.

Even though the families are supposed to have the final word as to whether the content of these calls will be circulated, that only means a short delay before transcripts begin circulating.
