My letter to a college Republican, and his "we're RIGHT" opinion
Edited on Sat Jan-07-06 01:00 AM by themartyred
A PA. college Republican wrote me back about Democrats
never being able to understand they are the party
of the fringe groups, and supporters of killing
babies for the heck of it, supporting perversion in
allowing gay couples unions, and hurting our defense,
by being against the president on Iraq and terrorism.

My reply I sent today to him:

You won't be able to refute anything I say,
my dear Bush supporter.

How can any American be proud of W and believe there's any
honor left in this (mis)administration when they have
divulged a CIA undercover agent in an act of revenge?
That's treason, and had the Clinton White House did
it, you'd be pumping your chest up blowing off saying
he needed arrested and thrown in prison immediately.

How can any American be proud of W and believe there's any
honor in this man when he continues an illegal war
that was shoved down our throats as needed to stop
Saddam from using WMD's on us, when there weren't any
WMD as Bush had to admit recently, and that the man
who blew up the WTC is still free and Bush says he
doesn't think about him anymore. That's shameful, had
any other president ignored the man who did this,
several years after it happened, their "backers" would
have turned on them by now, but there's a whole slew
of fanatics that still support Mr. Bush.

So, how can any American be proud of W & trust
a president who so willingly admits he did get no
approval from his Attorney General for wiretaps and
spying on American citizen's calls, and ignored the
FISA court laws made nearly 30 years ago that were
enacted because of Nixon going a tad overboard with
power himself, and still support such incredible
disrespect for the freedom & liberties guaranteed by
our constitution, especially when he SWORE to defend
to uphold these very LAWS. They scream about the rule
of law, but it is just bravado.

Add in the constant stream of Republican corruption
(Majority Leader Delay, and the California Rep.
accepting millions, and lobbying by big oil/energy to
get private meetings with Cheney to set the "laws"
they would be "regulated" by, we see how that's all
worked out).

And, the office of the presidency is about how you
appear in public, and if you cannot see that Bush
makes a constant FOOL of himself (zipper down in South
American Trade discussions, the Asian trip where he
looked dumber than a rock with the door that opened
the OTHER way, and his constant stream of facial
injuries, and his constant litany of speech screwups
in the hundreds, like "too many ob G Y N's can't
practice their love WITH women all across this
country), the dude's gotta be on drugs or should be!

We laugh at him, as a nation (I've found very little
support for him where I used to find moderate support
in most places), but it's not funny, he's doing a
horrible job and why nothing he wants passes now.
Republicans are running scared. They should be, they
are the party of Wrong, and the W is for Dubya!

You shouldn't be proud of that, but, you'll be too
proud to admit you should switch thoughts on the
administration (even if you stay Republican, you
should switch, but I would never expect you to change
your close-minded policies so quickly until it effects
you personally, ala a personal "Katrina" where your
government basically allows you to die, due to
indifference on the part of FEMA & the White House,
but hey, Brownie's suit sure looked nice on Good
Morning America on that first morning, didn't it?).

On behalf of my 4 members of my family who've fought
in wars (2 in Iraq), I say enjoy your freedom to
support such a useless president, and international
joke. This wouldn't have been this long if he wasn't
so bad! He sure lives up to "Christian priciples"
with honor, huh? Not even sure if Pat Robertson is
any worse than Bush, because Bush has a REAL effect
on what happens to the poor & the simple who rely on
him to be a moral man out for their interests, but,
it'd take a real dupe to not see who he benefits!

Have a great year, and I sure hope it's not as bad as
Santorum's is gonna be, or some other soon to be
ousted Republicans (starting with Abramoff's buddy,
Tom Delay, the POSTER child for Republican
corruption!).
