Bob Dole just reminded everyone that 3000 people died on 9/11.
Blitzer was interviewing him and said that 2300 troops have died in Iraq. That's when Mr. Dole said that people forget that people died that day. When was that again? (Actually Wolf did a good job of of skewering Dole).

Stick to Viagra ads, Bob.

Gee, since we're talkin' dead people...what about Chimpy's little chuckley aside comment that maybe 30,000 Iraqis have died...we wouldn't want Bob's head to explode...

30. Oh lord... I can still remember that smell. I offered to help the teachers
a LOT.

I don't know if I got a buzz off of it but that and the smell of a new doll (or other similar plastics) would have me downright near orgasmic. :hide:

31. I'm a court reporter and about seventeen years ago ...
... I was in a room with a group of lawyers. One of them had a pile of faxes with him. The fax machine was pretty new-fangled in those days, and the one at his office used blue ink.

He handed out the copies to the other lawyers, and the four older ones immediately put the papers to their noses and sniffed - ingrained habit, I guess!

The two younger lawyers looked at them as though they'd lost their minds.

23. A HUGH!!!1 pet peeve of mine.
I can recount every second of that day starting from when my boss came in to tell me a plane had hit the WTC.

My car was one of the first to have a "God Bless America" bumper sticker. It was the sick religious right who turned that once heart-felt sentiment into crap. Didn't take long for me to rip that sucker off my bumper.

10. Think "The Big Lebowski"
I dont know if you've seen the movie or not but Walter (John Goodman's character) tries to justify everything he does by comparing it to Vietnam. With the Bush admin, same diff.

He was born in this house. Not sure why that would upset Bob Dole...

O Henry and Harry Connick, Jr. were born on that day too.. Not sure what the big deal is... OK, maybe Dole doesn't like how Harry sounds like Sinatra... O Henry was kind of odd...

September 11th...hmmm...not sure why he want dead people... maybe because Johnny Unitas and Nikita Kruschev died on that day...I could see being pissed about Johnny dying...but Nikita....hmmm... September 11th... what's the big deal?

16. He accused Ted Kennedy of being a, dare I say it, a "Liberal"!!!!!!
He said it in almost the same tone he would use to describe a murderer or a terrorist. And when Blitzer asked Dole whether he thought Saddam Hussein had anything to do with 9/11, Dole really couldn't come up with anything, merely saying that he thought eventually there would be proof.

I don't mind hearing opposing views, but why does the media seem to choose the brain dead or ignorant to interview? They CHOOSE these people. CNN could have almost anyone on in the world that they choose to interview, including professors, authors, and other experts. Why do they interview the people that they do? I will never understand the apparent disdain our media has for intellectual discussion.

17. What About Katrina?
How many people died from Katrina? Are there lives less valuable then, just because their deaths resulted from a natural disaster?

I'm guessing more people's lives were impacted from that hurricane, than died at the WTC on 9/11. These A%&HOLES will say anything if it serves their purpose, and ignore EVERYTHING, if it doesn't.
