Ex-Iraqi Minister Says CIA-WMD Report TOTALLY Fabricated
Former Iraqi minister refutes NBC report he told CIA about WMD
03.22.2006, 11:10 AM

AMMAN (AFX) - Naji Sabri Hadithi, Iraq's foreign minister under Saddam Hussein, denied a report on US TV channel NBC that he provided the CIA with information about the deposed regime's alleged weapons of mass destruction.

'The information carried by the American channel NBC are lies, totally fabricated and unfounded,' Sabri Hadithi told Agence France-Presse in a telephone interview, in his first public remarks since the US-led invasion of Iraq in 2003.

'After the lies about the weapons of mass destruction which do not exist and the alleged links with Al-Qaeda, it seems that this new lie is aimed at giving a new fake pretext to justify the crime of the century: the invasion of Iraq.'

3. He has misunderstood the report by NBC.
NBC's report is that he told the CIA there was NO WMD. Which is what he did tell the CIA; NO WMD since the early 1990s.

And he is still, today, saying NO WMD since the early 1990s.

Just like the Saddam tapes stolen from the CIA by rightwingnut whatshisname say; NO WMD since 1992.

4. No one in their right mind should ever take anything said by the
US government or its agents (including practically all of the US media) as being true until it is rigorously verified. Even when they tell the truth, they tell it in conjunction with lies to either side...

5. It wasn't the CIA that fabricated the data...it was the OSP,....
...the NeoCon, Pentagon-based "intelligence" unit that reviewed/revised all intell data seen by the NeoCon inner circle.

8. On Monday the national networks seemed to take a less Bush
friendly approach on their Iraq reporting. Maybe it was because we are now entering year four but I think it is this story. They knew it was coming and they knew it was further evidence that Cheney lied about Saddam having nukes. On another thread we see an Editorial in the Arizona Republic mentioned the need for change in the Whitehouse even replacing Cheney. This story is as much a smoking gun as the DSM and at least temporarily opening up the door to the truth.

9. So how does this comply with the truthful circumstances and situations
that the War Powers Act of 1973 requires ? I'm confused. The whole Iraq operation is straight out of fantasy island ('look boss, a plane, a plane ! with WMDs' ) and the Congress is nowhere to be seen or heard from again. What group stuffed gags in their mouths ?
