More Progress! US Troops Arrest Iraqi Interior Ministry Official!

During operations in Duluiyah, police said, U.S. troops arrested Col. Farouq Khalil, an Iraqi Interior Ministry official, after raiding his house.

The American military did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Earlier it said scores of suspected insurgents had been detained.

2. When you round up "suspects" I guess that casts a pretty wide
net. You can suspect anyone of anything if you don't bother to look for real evidence.

4. Wait a minute, can an official officially be an insurgent? Who is he
insurging against? Himself? This is VERY strange. Of course the Interior Ministry is supposed to be the one with all those Shia militias on the loose? Are we NOW taking sides in the Civil War?
