It's time to step up or shut up.
There is nothing wrong with the Democratic Party. If you're tired of those with a D after their names not representing you, RUN FOR OFFICE. I'll vote for you!

WE ARE THE ONES WE'RE WAITING FOR

1. I'd make a terrible candidate...
Being the center of attention just freaks me out too much... I'd be glad to go to work for a good candidate. I'd make a good speech writer, I think. But to be in the spotlight.
:yoiks:
:scared:
:hide:

Not for me.

But I'd stand behind any number of DUers who wanted to take that step. :yourock:

2. We have to be realistic, there is something wrong
and we are disappointed and frustrated. The democrats are NOT backing the lone senators and congress people here and there who are standing up. There is nothing we can do at this moment. There is something they can do but they aren't. I wish we had some representatives with back bone. What office/seat are you running for?

6. A few Senators on our side of the aisle need
to grow a pair or find the ones they have and do the right thing.. Do the people's bidding.. That is their freaking job.....

7. And it is the people's job to tell them what our bidding is
Not disagreeing with you at all, dog. But as I said in another post yesterday, we have a responsibility too, and that is to call, fax, email, and snailmail our Senators and Representatives, repeatedly, to let them know we are serious, and that we expect them to do the jobs they were elected to do. I know lots of people have been doing just that, as have I. And more and more people need to do that too. Yes, it is their freaking job, but it's our job to plant our boots in their asses and let them know that we absolutely expect them to represent us, not cower in the corner like a bunch of scared children.

:hi:
