How to screw the news AP Style divide one story in to many and then
try and overlap the stories. Nothing like blur to help disuade interest in a story.

Take the Abramoff Shit fest...

Make many stories out of the big one and people will think it's too complicated and loose interest. Take any long running news story, it doesn't get divided up so people loose interest.

As usual the dittoed anemic stories from AP rise up in search engines then the story becomes what AP said. Tom Delay, his shit already stinks what's a little more anything to keep the others out of the news.

Well more of it lives at RawStory, where it was reported before being dismantled by AP.

1. AP = All Propaganda
It really is quite simple for BushCo to control vast swaths of American media. AP is a big cog in their machine.

2. Actually, it is the newspaper that does the cutting and pasting
AP or any other news outfit just writes plain paragraphs, and the agency that picks it up, either to reprint or to use it in their broadcasts, just picks out the paragraphs they want to use, and edits them as they see fit, putting a reporter byline on it sometimes, or saying AP contributed to this report.

The first link doesn't even bother to credit AP.

Also, a reporter can take the crap that AP puts out, and ADD their own spin to it, as happened with the second story--see the byline? By MAURY THOMPSON, [email protected] is a LOCAL reporter.

AP also does not write the headlines you see in local papers. The spin is homegrown.
