"Crash" Director Making Film Version Of Richard Clarke Exposé On Bush Administration...
Reuters | Tatiana Siegel | Posted March 12, 2006 11:24 PM

Hot off his best picture win for "Crash," Paul Haggis is in final negotiations to direct and produce "Against All Enemies," a project based on Richard A. Clarke's best-selling memoir chronicling the Bush administration's handling of terrorist threats.

Clarke, a former U.S. terrorism czar, offers the ultimate insider's account into the nation's security apparatus, featuring a cast of power brokers that includes President Bush, Condoleezza Rice, Donald Rumsfeld and himself.

1. This could be huge, no kidding.
America needs a movie presentation of the warnings made to Bushco from January 20 on regarding Al qaeda, and how he and his team completely tuned OUT the warnings.

6. Bush, Rummy, Rice - all believed in state supported terrorism
And their game plan, which was designed for 15 years earlier, was to attack the states, not their terrorist surrogates. So the info from Clarke went in one ear and out the other in 2001.

5. I don't know - here is the only clue from the article:
<snip>
"It is unclear whether Haggis will tackle Columbia Pictures' hot-button political drama next or sandwich in another directing project first. Either way, he will initially supervise scribe James Vanderbilt ("The Rundown"), who is penning a second draft of "Enemies." Haggis is currently writing "Death and Dishonor" for Warner Bros. Pictures, which he is attached to direct."

3. Aside from the political implication
Clarke's book is great stuff for a movie.

9. Haggis to replace Michael Moore as Public Enemy #1 with Freepers...
I'm sure the demonization will start taking place sooner rather than later. Who will kick it off? My guess is O'Reilly...

11. Yeah I won't watch it, he's a homophobe.
and so am I for liking Crash more. :sarcasm:

I was skeptical about this at first, but I am starting to think Haggis actually might be able to pull it off (make a good movie).
