4. Old news
They've been around for a while.

(This is not to denigrate the effectiveness of such a KE weapon
but merely to state that as the concept has been around for years,
it has probably been implemented by now and there are suitable
launch satellites in place today.)

8. Over a year ago I said that this was real reason Bush wants base on Moon
I posted my conspiracy conjecture here on DU somewhere.

The idea is that one could build a mass-driver weapon (for example, a solar-powered electric railgun) on The Moon and have a virtually limitless supply of kinetic-kill projectiles to rain down upon the Earth.

Everything from precision "Rods from God" to just plain old giant rocks for carpet-bombing civilian populations or vaporizing lakes.

10. IF and WHEN some of his kind return, they are NOT going to
spare the rod on people who have the tendency to use his name to play a killing game.

11. humankind needs to ban the development of new weapons . . .
and new weapons systems . . . those already in existence are more than sufficient to wipe out every vestige of life on the planet many times over, thank you very much . . .

13. No. All a weapon ever is, before it is used,
is a way to assuage mans conscience that he will prevent another from killing him; to do that in a nuclear age means you must be able to kill all of your enemies before they destroy you; ergo the sum total potential damage is irrelevant.

Concordantly, man will never abate from his quest of seeking 'better' ways of killing one another.

Then a weapon is used, and all that ceases, it becomes merely an extension of the hands of the False Emperor to throttle the life from anything deemed 'enemy'.
