Condoleezza Warns of 'Negative' China!

Hawkish US warns of 'negative' China

The Australian - March 11, 2006
CONDOLEEZZA Rice has warned that Beijing could become a "negative force" in the region, revealing that China's military and economic rise will be at the core of trilateral security discussions with Australia and Japan in Sydney next week.

On the eve of her visit to Australia, the US Secretary of State struck a surprisingly hawkish tone on China, saying the US, Japan and Australia had to watch the pace and reach of Beijing's military build-up.

...she said China had to respect things such as intellectual property rights - a big issue for the US, which is angered by the Chinese copying products such as software. "The last thing that we need is a very, very big Chinese economy that is operating outside the rules of the international economy." ...Her comments came in a week in which China threatened to use its economic muscle to open a trade dispute with Australia...

Dr Rice said energy would also be a focus of the dialogue "because the need for energy is driving diplomatic policy/foreign policy in ways I would never havedreamed of four or five years ago".

4. Could? COULD! China is as much fascist communist as the USSR was!

And it's been said China was helping behind the scenes too, but that's sheer conjecture so take it with a bucket of salt.

I dunno.

As usual, we are the pawns in someone else's game of chess. Capable of going one direction and usually not a good one.

Oh well. Anyone have some girl scout cookies to sell? :9

7. Soooo, Condi, do you suppose we could possibly STOP FUNDING
CHINA by outsourcing everything from jobs to steel mills to plastics to them??? Is that a remote possibility in your corporate-dominated world? Oh, guess not. . .well, then just STFU.

10. Bingo. Condi's argument is weak as water.
There is nothing to fear if the rest of the country operates out of China.

9. Condi, maybe you need to set aside a few hours a week
just to stop and think about things because you seem to be very deficient in the imagination department.
