Ugh...I need a good scrubbing...
Just dropped into my old haunts at the Civil Liberties boards and ran smack dab into a repulsive rightie post. I feel so unclean. Of course, I had to post a hello and a general smackdown of anyone on the right DARING to set foot on a board devoted to Civil Liberties, since they obviously have no real respect for them.

I think I need disinfected. And maybe a couple hours of deep meditation to scrape the crap that may have collected in my brain just from reading the posts in question. Someone there was hawking a book about the education system and actually used quotes from John Stossel and David Horowitz's webzine to recommend it.

I feel so dirty.

It's not quite as bad as freeper central, since just about everyone who posts there is demented and/or deranged, but it's bad enough.

I remember when I stormed off the CL boards some years ago, a few months before I discovered DU. I'd had enough of someone saying that the Iraqis had no right to be pissed off because we invaded their country, and that it was completely unjustified that some might be angry because we killed their family members.

I'd had enough of this guy's crap and simply left and didn't look back. I'm MUCH happier hanging out with (mostly) rational people. ;)

Ugh. I've been slimed.
