Gov. Rounds tries to backstep from abortion bill
Seems like the South Dakota governor is up for re-election, something that was considered an easy win for the Republican - but this signing could change the whole complexion of the race and Rounds is trying to backpedal from the bill, claiming this isn't "his" legislation. Well, the jerk signed it and he knows that it didn't originate in South Dakota...I'd say that's all the people of that state need to know:

1. Well, it's his signature on it, the friggin self-proclaimed rubber stamp.
"Hey, dude, I just SIGNED it!" What a moron!!! So in his view the role of Governor is just to sign whatever papers land on his desk! ! ! Check out how what campaign donations HE got from the special interest groups! You can bet those out of state lobbyists parked their well padded butts in the Governor's office to make sure there was no veto! ! !

2. "wouldn't campaign actively for it ..."
Rounds also said he wouldn't campaign actively for it if a threatened referral drive materializes.

What does that mean?

3. Whatever happened to taking responsibility for your actions?
He didn't just sign it, he endorsed it. I thought Rounds was a decent guy, but in the end, anyone with an R next to their name shows their inner scumbag.

8. I particularly enjoyed the following sequence in the article
EDIT

"Rounds, responding to questions from reporters, reminded them at least twice that it's not his legislation.

He signed the bill Monday."

EDIT

Sorry, Mikey - you signed it, it's YOUR BILL.

10. What is with Republicans NEVER taking responsibility for their actions?
Is it genetic? Or does it relate to the personality disorder that makes them repukes in the first place?

16. Sorry, dumbass. Your support began at the bill's conception...
...and now you're just going to have to carry the abominable piece of legislation to term. It's not like you were raped by S. Dakota pro-lifers and forced to carry their bill. And even if you WERE raped, you STILL have to carry the little monstrosity you helped sire. Where's your humanity, sir? The bill isn't even a bastard -- it's got your name on it.

29. It's not Rounds' fault!
Look at him! He's signing without even looking! Pretty clear that it's not poor Gov. Rounds' fault. Cut the guy a break, cantcha? Governors have to sign things all the time, and they can't be held accountable for every little time they write their names down, can they?

Hey, I think I'm onto something here. I wonder if I could get out of a payday or car title loan that way, take the money and just skate? Hmmm.

On second thought, no, I'm not "onto" something; more like "on" something. Now, where did those little purple capsules go???

Rounds is a weasel.

Weren't his quotes that he was essentially gleefully happy and supportive? If not, why did he sign it?
