It is not an opinion posted on there, it is a developing piece of history. A bad rep is for those who choose to edit out things that are sourced, but do not comply with their opinions.

If I, or the original poster were "F ing around," the blurb would state something slanderous or obscene.

it's effing around. You're supposed to use the Talk page to discuss and reach consensus with the editors on whether or not it's worth adding. As a matter of fact it's the first issue for discussion on the Talk page:
