Big Business vs The People ?

Isn't this really what it's all about? Seventy percent of the people, Democrats and Republicans are against this port sale. Is anyone really listening? It doesn't matter if the Big Business is from America, UAE, or Yugoslavia or if they are criminals, communists, or terrorists, if they bring in the Big Green, they are acceptable. Isn't this the bottom line? And the people be damned.

4. I think it has been a part of this nation since day one....

and it has been growing exponentially ever since. The passing of trade laws like NAFTA and GATT have increased the shipping into this country and the export of jobs outside of this country. Also, those "agreements" have driven wages down in this country as we compete with the Chinese and Indonesia and other third-world nations. The direction we are going is visible for all to see. The "port deal" is only a part of this bigger picture of capitalism destroying our nation as we once knew it.
