Isn't It Kind of Insulting to the War Hero to Get His Award from Deadeye?

Vice President Dick Cheney, right, shakes hands with Dr. Bernard W. Bail, of Beverly Hills, Calif., after presenting him with the Distinguished Service Cross in the Roosevelt Room at the White House, Friday, Feb. 24, 2006. Bail was given the award for heroism in action in the European theater during World War II. Bernad's medal had been overlooked through lost records. (AP Photo/Ron Edmonds)

1. They SEARCH OUT these situations whenever they need to change an image or
storyline. Makes the rubes believe that BushInc is really respectful of the military when they are really a pack of chickenhawks and robber barons who USE the military for personal enrichment for themselves and their cronies.

I retired from the Navy in 2002. It is a tradition that the retiree receive a letter of appreciation from the commander in chief (standard form letter.) I told the coordinator of my retirement ceremony that I did not want a letter from george bush but would rather have a letter from President Clinton. He came through. I got my letter which was read at my retirement ceremony. Lots of blah, blah but the last sentence:

My best wishes to you for happiness and success in the future.

BILL CLINTON
Commander in Chief

I have that letter framed in my office and took great joy hearing it read at my retirement ceremony. I would accept nothing from a republican. My home of record at the time was Arkansas and my crew got a letter of appreciation from Huckabee but I did not let it be read at my ceremony. I'm just a wack job liberal.
