Envoy in Cheney's crew also drank before shoot
BY CORKY SIEMASZKO
DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITER

The U.S. ambassador who was hunting with "Deadeye" Dick Cheney when he peppered his pal with buckshot also had a drink before they went quail shooting on a Texas ranch.

Pamela Willeford, America's ambassador to Switzerland and Liechtenstein, insisted in a witness statement "there was no alcohol consumed during the afternoon of the hunt in the field," reports revealed yesterday.

But Willeford also told a deputy, "I did consume a glass of wine at lunch, approximately 4-4-1/2 hours earlier."

Vice President Cheney has admitted downing a beer several hours before he accidentally shot Harry Whittington on Feb. 11. He has also defended his decision to wait a day before letting ranch owner Katharine Armstrong break the news of the shooting.

5. Unless you are me.
One glass of wine makes me

Weak
Unable to type
Unable to drive
Unbelievable sleepy
Red in the face and neck
And causes the room to spin

Good thing I don't have a shotgun. :)

6. The hospital
took a blood alcohol level when the victim of the VP's reckless shooting was brought in. If it showed a low or zero BAC, it seems he would agree to release the results. He refused to, and his treating physicians were not able to comment on it.

7. The VP personal medical-
Staff were on hand and could have easily drawn a tiny bit of blood from VP and friend immediately to quell any question of alcohol having a play!
Real hunters KNOW that even one drink isn't how one hunts for any game!
Even the hostess must accept some blame! In OR, if you furnish alcohol to someone and they have or cause any accident, you can be held liable!

get their facts straight. If Harry Whittington had been shot with buckshot, he would be dead. The man got shot with BIRDSHOT! The are the same size pellets that we used to call bee bees. It makes me thing that she didn't doublecheck her other facts very well either.
