nauseates me almost as much as his phony-erudite, pseudo-thoughtful, mock-intellectual cadence. William Shatner has a more believable intonation than Wolf.

It was great to watch Maher sneer at Wolf when the latter said (paraphrasing) that Maher has an excellent show for those who like that kind of humor...and I do"

13. While no longer a big fan of Maher

I have to admit he appeared to be as "on" as I've ever seen him.

Sometimes Maher seems to not really have a broad grasp of the facts and issues. This wasn't the case with Blitzer.

Granted, Maher usually has his most difficulty when actually debating an informed opponent.

He handled himself well when Carter's seeming support for the deal was brought up though, imo, he should have pointed out that Carter's approval can readily be interpreted as being qualified.

I'm not saying I agree with his comments on Carter, it's just that Maher seemed to take the question in stride.

I'm cynical, I think Maher wants to draw back the liberal viewers he lost when he seemed to be redoing the tenor of his show last year.

It's just a show, if it improves I'll watch it more.

I love Bill Maher but it makes me think that CNN is trying to get ratings by appealing to the liberal minded crowd. All I can say is if CNN wants me to start watching again, then they better start reporting real news.
