Why doesn't DU take up a collection to buy a few ads in various papers??

big letters, full page...

WE DON'T TRUST YOU GEORGE

... NOT WITH THE ECONOMY

... NOT WITH THE TREASURY

... NOT WITH OUR CHILDREN'S LIVES

1. newspaper ads

just aren't very affective. Few people read them and you need a continuous buy to make any dent in public opinion.

2. then the same thing for TV then...

very simple ads with voiceovers.

3. About a year ago, the issue of DU advertising was raised, and

the management of DU said they don't want to because if they raised money for ads, then people might not donate during the pledge drive.
