Limbaugh:"entity that can bring peace to this whole port deal..Halliburton

http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/daily/site_022006/content/quotes.guest.html

"There's only one entity that can bring peace to this whole port deal, and that is Halliburton. Now, if somebody could persuade whoever it is that's running Halliburton to intercede on behalf of America -- oh, would not that be great?"

Sadly, I wouldn't be that surprised if BushCo pulls something like that...

2. That's Exactly What They Trying to Do
Scaring America into giving Haliburton more American tax dollars. What a scam... these cons should all be locked up.

3. There it is
Halliburton will then subcontract the work back to Dubai Ports, and get a billion or two for doing absolutely nothing, just the way they like it...

I mean ok, let me put on my tin foil hat here for a second....

Bear with me here - A plan to allow the UAE to run parts of a few ports is unveiled to the public, meanwhile all the usual suspects are getting their talking points to blast this plan and bring up the idea of a "known good" contractor to do this for us? (thus making it look as if the white house is bowing to "public" pressure, when infact the plan was to give it to Halliburton all along?)

eh, that's even a bit too much tin foil for even ME.

8. Hm...
I don't know about that. Dubya has already said his two cents on this deal, and he feels that there is nothing wrong with it.

No tinfoil required
Kinda like Harriet Miers. Set up something that's obviously going to fail, wait for the outrage, then move in your boy. Nothing would surprise me at this point.

11. Interesting, but I really don't think they are that smart, frankly
However, I do think the Halliburton angle makes a great fall-back position (from their perspective) for their major fuckup. The trick will be to get the rest of the putrid puppetheads deployed to spin the bullshit for them and give it legs as a viable option....we know old Shotgun Dick actually appeared on OxyFatBoy's show, so it is likely that he has been tasked with floating the first turd in the toilet of GOP ideas to see if it bobs along nicely.

These greedy clowns were thinking with their wallets, ignoring national security, and have not yet woken up to the fact that, ever since Dickie shot his pal in the face, the press corps is starting to pay some damn attention, simply because the public is CLAMORING for reports such as these.

So, we'll have to listen closely--if we hear any more PLOP! PLOPS! vis-avis Halliburton from the usual suspects, we'll know this is a coordinated campaign!

16. They "aren't that smart"???! In only five years they have made
your country unrecognizable - and many people don't understand this yet... I think they are plenty smart enough

17. They're good at some things, like stealing elections
After you get that bit down, you don't need to be a rocket scientist. They are also very good at lying, stonewalling, and ignoring the press! But smart?? No, they aren't smart. The American people haven't been paying attention up to now...but they're starting to.

7. Is Rush still doing SUV updates?
He'd better get with the program as even Bush is pushing fuel efficient vehicles. Rush once the "cutting edge of societal evolution" now (as always) a fat assed affluent mind slum.

Yemen port. I always believed that was a set-up for BushInc, too.

contract at the time for logistic services in that region, which includes refueling. I am dead certain of that.

Interestingly, Cheney is the one who made the decision to put logistics in the hands of private firms when he was Defense Secretary.
