Why they spy

Its time for all of us to face the reality of why they are spying. BuyingThyme wrote an excellent post about the nonsensical "debate" that is taking place regarding the spy program. Suffice to say we would be foolish to assume that millions of us aren't being spied on, and it ain't got nothin to do with international phone calls.

So the question is why. I'll tell you why. I just watched the trailers for a new film called "V for Vendetta". (Its amazing to me that the film is even allowed to be released). And it became clear to me that all our fears about the fascist state are going to be realized. They are spying on you because they are preparing for the battle. The "Long War" as Rumsfeld coined the phrase is against YOU. YOU are the terrorists.

You all can forget about Conyers' letters and Kucinick's speeches. You can forget about Plame and Fitzgerald. You already know that the idea of elections is a distant memory. There will be no such thing. Its time to face up to the fact that the fascists have already won and the only thing they are preparing for is the time when the few among us will rise up against them. They need to know who we are so they will be ready. Most of us will go peacefully, because we will be unable to defend ourselves. Some of us may put up a fight. But these are mere details.

Haven't you wondered why they don't care about the economy? Because the damn economy won't matter. Only weaponry will matter.

Print out this post folks, and think of Burythehatchet when life looks like nothing it is today. Jesus I hope I'm wrong.
