If Deadeye Dick was sincere about how he felt when he saw Whittington drop
to the ground, wounded in pain and agony, and how "It was the worst day of my life" because he could sense the pain his buddy was feeling, he would never hunt again...

and not just because he'd be afraid to injure a fellow companion again, but for the first time in his pathetic miserable life, he'd realize...through Whittington's pain and suffering....how all those innocent animals must feel whenever one is shot and wounded by someone like him who doesn't know their ass from a hole in the ground.

1. Having trouble wrapping head around 'Dick' & 'sincere' .
Nope, that dog just won't hunt. ;)

3. LOL, I had trouble using that word in the manner I did
It ached me to put "sincere" and him in the same sentence!

2. He's lying.....
He's upset because a light was shined on his cockroach soul.

4. That's what I think, too, and that's why I think he'll continue to "hunt"
I don't think there's an ounce of empathy in his pathetic body.

5. good point. But what is weird is that he said he could only see
him from the waist up because he was in a gully. So, how do you see someone fall to the ground? You would have to see them fall to the line of sight of the gully.

6. Good post...
As a reward, one of the funniest things I've seen yet on Bwana Dick's misadventures....

By the way, on Sunday, after plugging Dick Whittington, Cheney went to a luncheon with a bunch more hunters and didn't say a word about how awful it had been, although for some reason they left him behind when they took to thefields after lunch.

7. I thought I read yesterday that there was a dinner the evening of the
shooting. Does anyone remember this?

10. I'm not sure. It might be what MrB is talking about in his post above.

8. I said in another thread last night that Dick should be made to
travel to the military hospitals and tell his story to the young soldiers there. Then he should have to stay there and hear theirs. Perhaps he will now get the picture of what these young kids are going to have to live with for the rest of their lives. They see their friends blown up all the time, clean their blood and brains from their bodies and their clothes. How do they clean that from their minds Dick?

This is their MO. They have attempted to cover up friendly fire in Iraq (Tillman anyone?), and they attempted to cover up this time too.

Dick, I challenge you to swap stories of your experience with these young kids freshly wounded from Iraq. See how much empathy they can muster for your "weekend warrior" accident.

Go ahead. I double dog dare you to.

9. Excellent point, Sydnie, although I doubt there's an ounce of empathy
in any one of these assholes running our country.

None of them have the ability to put themselves in anyone elses shoes. If they did, they wouldn't be causing the tremendous amount of suffering they've already created on a global scale.
