Please call members of Senate Judiciary Committee and tell them this

Tell them that they took a solemn oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States. We now know the President lied to the American people when he made his speech in Buffalo in 2004 telling us that electronic surveillance of Americans would only be conducted with a proper warrant. Because of a leak inside the NSA, the President was forced to admit openly that since 2001 he has been authorizing wiretaps of U.S. citizens on American soil which is a clear violation of both the FISA Act and the Fourth and Fifth Amendements of the Constitution. To make matters worse the Administration is stonewalling any efforts on the part of the Congress to determine the real facts behind this activity. This is an affront to the rule of law on which this country was founded. By virtue of their office and legal authority within the system of checks and balances established under our Constitution they are duty bound to recommend that a thorough, impartial, and non-partisan investigation be conducted into this matter. If they feel they cannot do so, they need to make that known and recuse themselves from serving on the Committee.
