I have noticed that most of the conservatives I know have all kinds of unwarrented fears. Why are conservatives so afraid? It seems they are always afraid of something - communists, terrorists, blacks, hispanics, gays, muslims, anything different is something to be feared. And since 9/11 they have gone into hyperdrive with this.

1. a chunk of the population is just a bunch of fraidy cats

the aristocrats and now the corporations have learned to rule them through their fear

so the repuke party (the political wing of the corporatist movement) cultivates, encourages and even overtly creates as much FUD (fear, uncertainty and doubt) as possible and position themselves as saviors

the repuke voting masses (religiously insane, hopelessly stupid and otherwise mentally defective) respond as planned.

Scared to death. So they create massive campaigns against ethnic groups, religions, cultures, differences. Differences are bad!!!11!!! Keep the masses diverted.

5. Its Sad, Really

Some people I used to work with didn't care about the environment because they were afraid they would lose their jobs. Others I know have moved way out to the exurbs cause they are afraid of blacks. I even have a friend who is afraid to think about sex (he's married & has 3 kids) - so he goes to one of those evangelical thought control churches and supports boosh "cause he's a man of conscience".
