Ed Schultz is returning to KFGO radio and Rush Limbaugh is leaving, the station's new owner says. Schultz, 52, plans to return to the Fargo station Feb. 1, to his "News and Views" talk show, which will air from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., after a 25-month absence.
. . .
The "Jack and Sandy" show, featuring Jack Sunday and Sandy Buttweiler, will air from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., replacing Rush Limbaugh's show, KFGO owner Jim Ingstad said.
State Sen. Joel Heitkamp, D-Hankinson, will be the host of a talk show from 2 p.m., to 5 p.m. after the legislative session ends.
"I think KFGO's place is to be live and local," said Ingstad, 46, of Fargo. "You're not going to see any nationally syndicated shows."
Ingstad said he purchased KFGO and five other area radio stations for $14 million from Clear Channel Communications, which had purchased the stations from him in 2000. His law firm said the sale closed Friday.
Ingstad bought the stations as owner of Radio Fargo-Moorhead Inc. Nancy Odney resigned from Triad Broadcasting to take over as chief operating officer for the Ingstad company.
