Given the fact that the weather channel is now the voice piece of the Democratic Party, count me out as one of your viewers. I can get the same crap on CNN.

"...Our goal at The Weather Channel has always been to keep people out of harm's way." Here is the real problem. I thought the goal of ANY weather channel was supposed to be to report the weather, not babysit. Perhaps they should rename themselves the Weather Nannies.

I have viewed the Weather Channel for the last time. Your lack of knowledge and common scense is astounding.

<snip>

Again, the premise that global warming is man-made is completely unproven. Typical liberal elitist you are, Heidi. You suggest that those who disagree with you be silenced.

I remember another regime that silenced those who disagreed. They were called "Nazi's".

Bye Weather Channel.

1. They are welcome to start their own channel and do faith-based weather forecasting.
Let's see how many people want to watch that.

14. Yep....
Robertson prayed to God to steer hurricanes away from his companies' Virginia Beach, Virginia, headquarters. He took credit for steering the course in 1985 of Hurricane Gloria, which caused billions of dollars of destruction in many states along the U.S. east coast. He made a similar claim about another destructive storm, Hurricane Felix, in 1995.

Robertson later called on God to prevent Hurricane Isabel from hitting Virginia Beach in 2003. /snip

13. I'd still like to know why he was asleep on the job for Katrina!
I think a *faith-based* weather channel is a good idea. Sunny, 80 degrees, low humidity, all day, every day. And plenty of sand in which to hide your head!

7. How incredible is it
that the Weather FREAKING Channel sits at the center of controversy? Have we effectively entered the Twilight Zone yet or what?

Next thing you know the expression "talking about the weather" will change to become a metaphor for engaging in contentious political discourse!

10. It is truly amazing that it has come to that. But the righties have
once again framed the "debate" in their favor, stirring up controversy all while turning a buck. Makes me ill to think how they can twist people to support things that harm themselves.

21. Scientists, as opposed to politicians, do not abide fools.
Those idiots are just blowing in the wind, so to speak, for meteorologists at The Weather Channel. If they became irritating enough TWC might close down it's blog for awhile, or institute a mass banning process.
