Do you realize the House & Senate are still in session ?
I was shocked! I tuned into cspan because I wanted to see the hearings from today, and they usually play them after the Congress ajourns for the day. Well damn! They're still there!

The Senate has passed 2 ammendments, and is not debating the Ethics bill AGAIN! The Pubs are threatening to vote against the ethics refore bill unless the Dems let them attach a line item veto to it. Byrd is doing very well defending the Constitution in his speach and stating the line item veto is unconstitutional!

O heard Reid and Durbin state these bills will be finalized this week, even if it meant working the weekend. I guess the Pubs don't want to work the weekend huh?

2. The political world is changing

faster than we can process the importance of all this. Do you hear a lame duck quacking, all by itself?

What is with the Senate? They haven't finished the first bill. The House has already passed 5 of the "6 for 06" and will pass HR6 tomorrow

8. They passed 2 ammendments to this SR 1 tonight.
One was Finegold's and the other was a Pub bill, Bennet's I think. Both were OK as far as I could tell.

I know everyone says the Senate works a lot slower than the House. They have a lot more debate time. That would be the only reason I can think of.

7. I don't really want them to work all night every night.
I'm a hard ass, but not that bad! All I ask is that they work a 5 day week, and get something done! But like everyone else, if they don't get their work done during the standard work day, you have to work OVERTIME!!!!!

Welcome to the real world folks!
