"There's things going on that you don't know."
Lynryd Skynrd.

I have a hunch there is a lot of stuff going on that we do not know and the media does not know either. From the warships in the Gulf to Condi Rice visiting Israel to the ransacking of the Iranian Consulate in northern Iraq to the attacks in Somalia to the appointment of Negroponte as assistant to Condi Rice to the threats made toward Iran to the attack on the US Embassy in Greece or wherever, to the bellicose language coming from the Administration at this time. Things are happening very quickly behind the scenes, it appears...

1. There is less than there used to be...
With the internet up and running (and with equal access) it is MUCH harder to keep up the "Big Lie" that fueled so many 19th and 20th Century bloodlettings.

3. Great graphics! Thanks!
But in the Rambo pix, you should make Bush look less like a movie star and more like a psycho. The bleary beady eyes, the Wicked Witch of the West nose, the Alfred E. Newman ears--more like the screechy menacing dinosaur raptors in "Jurassic Park." And his mouth is more pinched, less generous. There is something too nice in your Rambo's face that isn't in Bush's.

8. The hand-holding and kissing is an Arabic cultural thing...
...on a par with the Japanese bow, or the American handshake...
or in the case of our ersatz 'President'; farts and head noogies.

There's no sexual connotation to it.

6. And there's even more going on that we do know.
3,000 U.S. troops killed in Iraq. A fuck of a lot more Iraqis who met the same fate. 140,000 U.S. troops are still in Iraq, and there are more on their way if Congress doesn't cut off funding.

That's to say nothing of climate change and how the country responsible for more than 30% of greenhouse gas emissions is doing absolutely fucking nothing to stop it.

1 in 6 kids in the U.S. are in poverty. 47 million Americans have no health insurance. We have a budget deficit of hundreds of billions of dollars, but capital gains are still taxed at a rate less than money people actually worked for.

But hey, why let any of that shit distract us from the "invasion of Iran is imminent" posts to which we have been subjected to on a weekly basis for the last two years.

spotlight. If we don't stop an Iran invasion...then there will be nothing left to spend on any of the items you listed. That's why there are so many posts about Bush/Cheney expanding this war into the ME forever.

There's no money for average Americans and no one in the Media will concentrate on what's going on here at home with so much money they are making keeping the PEOPLE in chaos.
