Attention Kentucky progressive grassroots organizers.
I sincerely believe if you can do a grassroots action to conduct an economic boycott and pressure GOP contributors in Kentucky to convince Senator McConnell not to use the filibuster and for him to get Bush not to use the veto, you can do this country a great service.

1. We need a $10 an hour minimum wage in this country. To get this I suggest you get people to call their local Wendy's, Outback Steakhouse, Olive Garden, and Red Lobster Restaurants and say I will not buy from you again unless you get your CEO to get Senator McConnell to get congress and the President to enact a $10 an hour minimum wage. Wendy's, Outback Steakhouse, Olive Garden, and Red Lobster Restaurants give money to the GOP.

2. We need a real prescription drug benefit placed into Medicare Part B covering 80 percent of medication cost, with no means test, no coverage gap, no extra premiums and no extra deductibles other than the part B premium and deductibles that elderly and disabled people pay. We also need to get the means test for Medicare Part B repealed. Get as many people to call their local Eckerd, CVS, and Walgreens, and Walmart Pharmacies and say I will never buy from you again unless you get your CEO to get Senator McConnell to get congress and the president to enact a real prescription drug benefit placed into Medicare Part B covering 80 percent of medication cost, with no means test, no coverage gap, no extra premiums and no extra deductibles other than the part B premium and deductibles that elderly and disabled people pay and to repeal the means test for Medicare part B that the Republicans snuck into the 2003 Medicare law that just went into effect in 2007. Eckerd, CVS, and Walgreens, and Walmart give money to the GOP.

3. Getting our soldiers home. General Electric corporation gives money to the GOP and serves as one of the major WAR and invasion contractors. GE makes and sells lightbulbs, ovens, refrigerators, TVs, radios, stereo equipment, telephones. Get as many people to contact General Electric in Connecticut and demand the CEO to get Senator McConnell to get congress and the president to arrange a withdrawal of troops from Iraq, or they will never buy any GE products again.

If you want to get most anything done, you need to pressure GOP contributors economicly as they mostly only understand money.

Vote with your dollars.
