He looked like a terrified toddler with a corn cob up his ass.
Edited on Thu Jan-11-07 05:25 AM by Philosoraptor

That's the first impression I got while watching the ape. First off, he was a nervous wreck, and he was somber, probably because they told him to be. Demeanor-wise, this was bush at his paranoid worst.

Gone was that fake look of confidence he always had pasted on his mug, replaced by a look of controlled panic. Like you look when a grizzly suddenly walks up on you.

He reminded me of the weary and dejected LBJ delivering basically the same speech about you know what. But overall, he was alarmingly creepy, like I've never seen him before. It was unsettling, disturbing, and it left me with a chill up my spine.

Just before he went on, chris matthews said, 'Ladies and gentlemen, here's our ONLY commander in chief'. When your so called commander in chief looks like this, it's officially time to worry.

6. sure, that's been the case throughout, he's an idiot, he's a duuph, he's...
this he's that he's a poop butt dooty head, an asshole, a prick, a fill-in-the-blank...and now it's too fucking late; it is as though people are only now beginning to awake from some hazy-dreamy sleep walk after just now banging their chin on the coffee table in the dead of night: in the death of night: this guy is certifiable, and he is sitting in THEE most powerful chair in the soon to be wannabe free world again

8. this vaunted 4th estate of ours, paid by the column inch and so pleased...
to get those invites to their A-list Georgetown cocktail parties have sold this nation down a rat hole for far less than "a pocket full of mumbles, such are promises"...

they have sold this nation down for their own fat-ass hides, their personal comforts and they are many, their pride, their stock porfolios...it has been; is, and remains a sickening display of greed, pride & avarice on the part of our so called free press that they continue to ask less than a handful of pertinent questions while lies fall in sheets from the sky like acid rain

16. We are finding what I've always suspected..
... that Weimar Germany can happen anywhere. One terror attack is all it took to knock us off our facade of moral leadership.

14. i'll tell you the scary part for me, interviews this evening with Evans...
his former treasury sec, and some other guy from poppy's WH, and other family friends (but not all) say he is the most firm-minded, steady, self assured, decisive thinker they have known in some 30 years of knowing him (all of which can be easily read as 'pig headed' too for that matter).......

.........that is fucking scary, when the rest of the world sees him as a dangerous intellectual slacker

9. The library background made him harder to see...was that part of the
plan..to camouflage his face so people might just listen instead of reacting with disgust. My little TV didn't show his face or body language very well. Was that stageing?

10. Yes, that was the most nervous he's ever looked delivering a
so-called speech.

Maybe God broke the news beforehand that he's going to hell for all of the innocent people he's killed and wounded?

Jan. 10, 2007 - George W. Bush spoke with all the confidence of a perp in a police lineup. I first interviewed the guy in 1987 and began covering his political rise in 1993, and I have never seen him, in public or private, look less convincing, less sure of himself, less cocky. With his knitted brow and stricken features, he looked, well, scared. Not surprising since what he was doing in the White House library was announcing the escalation of an unpopular war.
