The dumbing down of America.....and Verizon billing

This is pretty funny ... in a sad way.

To summarize: This poor guy is quote .002 "cents" per kilobyte......but gets billed .002 "dollars" per kilobyte. Nobody, including several supervisors, can grasp the difference.

"It's obviously a difference of opinion" says the supervisor

I do a lot of subbing in local schools, and in 7th grade there are still a great deal of students that are incapable of finding common multiples without having a 1-16 multiplication table sitting in front of them.

We really are getting dumber.

now that they are raising our utility charge by 50%. I hate to see next months bill because it is now getting a little chillier here and the furnace is running more.
