I was just watching Jimmy Carter's eulogy of Ford
I gotta tell ya, it's so NICE to hear someone pronounce "nuclear" properly for a change! :evilgrin:

2. Ever see the old SNL skit about Carter running a help line?
He was on a talk show, and people would call and ask questions about the country. Then one guy called and described a problem with his washing machine, and Carter helped him fix it. Then another caller said he had just overdosed on some pills he couldn't identify, so Carter talked him through the bad trip.

Funny skit.

conventional subs and Rickover accepted Carter into the nuclear sub program.

Carter was a lieutenant when he resigned from the Navy in October 1953.

6. You're correct, he qualified to hold a command position on nuclear subs and undoubtedly
would have commanded one if he stayed on active duty.

IMO Carter was one of the most ethical presidents we've had.

7. I think you are correct. He had a digree in some related field to
nuclear energy.
