anobody notice that Fox News has been apologizing...
I have watched clips online the past couple of days and all the host are apologizing to the guest after they treat them like shit. Usually they treat them like shit and its over. I think they could be trying to gain some PR and and get their agenda out as they treat guest like shit.

1. I've only seen O'Reilly apologize once, just the other day.
It happened after he hammered Andrea Mitchell, trying to get her to name "one conservative" at NBC. She asked what a conservative was and Billo said, "You know, someone with family values."

Mitchell held her own. Billo ended up apologizing to her for giving her such a hard time. Have you seen someone else on faux making an apology?

4. That's what he said!
The scary part is he might really believe that. I can't tell how much is bs (same with Coulter) to get ratings or sell a book. Outrageous, in any case.

3. Haven't exactly heard the apologies, but had a SHOCKER this A.M.
In the early morning snooze period, I turn on the thing and doze on and off. On weekends the Faux & Friends is it because everything else is even worse. Usually the weekender Faux are not SO bad as the week days.

Well there was a new one this A.M., a male. They did a segment about a young little creepetoid passing out anti-Choice stuff at school, where the school stopped her, then she hooked up with a national creepetoid freeper outfit that threatened to sue, and the school backed down. The freep lawyer was saying it was open and shut, that the SCOTUS had ruled years ago that civil rights didn't stop at the schoolhouse door.

Then the new guy started up. First with the girl, then with the lawyer. He said (paraphrasing), "Isn't it a disruption? You KNOW that the (Choice/anti-Choice) issue is deeply divisive, that to pass out literature on such an issue is just being (flamebait)?"

It had all been predictable for Faux up to then. I had to turn over look at the screen to see who was saying that. It was the new co-host or the stand-in or whatever he was. I was SHOCKED!!1 I tell you, SHOCKED!!1

12. I've been sorta considering getting a TV again...
...the cats have trouble sitting or snoozing on top of the computer monitor because it slants. :silly:

15. Mine snoozes on a soft fuzzy blanket on a chair seat near the computer --
maybe your kitty just wants to be near you, not necessarily on top of the Warm Electronic God Box???

Or maybe not -- you could get a TV and do the Click and Clack trick -- cover the screen with black electrician's tape....Kitty would be happy and you wouldn't have to watch the stupid thing.

14. Allow me to clarify

(Sent this as a P.M. so as not to kick a dead thread, but the rankling was public, so the clarification ...)

You appeared rankled by my saying, "everything else is worse than Faux on Saturdays..."

This would be within the universe of my requirements:

1- LIVE chat

2- SOMEWHAT non-repetitive.

3- Of the 105 channels Dish Network provides me while charging for 200, I have NO interest in ESPN, DISNEY, MTV, CMT, all the shopping networks, and all but 26 of those channels.

CNN is boring, even during a 5 to 7 A.M. snooze period. MSRNC with Alexandra WITT is JUST as wingnut and VERY repetitive. This particular morning the History Channel, which is a frequent choice, had "History's Business" or somesuch, ruling THAT out. The Faux & Friends are inredibly annoying, and their talking over one another is jarring, and their wingnuttiness is unsurpassed, but, as I say, the alternatives were lacking.

9. Faux News is becoming irrelevant. Other news outfits laugh at them
--finally, instead of treating like a serious news network.

Maybe they are noticing what we've known all along--they are a side-show through and through.

10. Oh, yeah, there's a bunch of crabwalking
going on. By GOP members who are scared to death after seeing their brethren fall in November. And by rightwing media. They're all scrambling for voters and for viewers and listeners. They sense they're losing their support. Even ole hatetalker Hannity (who just loved his "distinguished journalist Jeff Gannon") has a new show which features, gasp, a liberal. Joe Scarborough has been walking a tightrope. Make no mistake. He was a major Bushie. But he'd really like it if you would forget that right now.
So would a lot of people.
They're doing the two-step.
Poor Faux. They have no idea what to say these days. Alienate their reliable contingent with...reality? Try to pickup some of that disaffected middle that has been drifting toward Keith? Their ratings are falling. Falling.
So, they're scrambling.
It's going to be a carnival. I wonder where that freak show Coulter is these days? I guess she's not exactly the glamour girl she used to be. That's what happens when you're dead wrong. About absolutely everything.
