44% "Somewhat Approve" of the way Bush is handling his job
Edited on Thu Jan-04-07 08:16 PM by maxrandb
Rasmussen must be getting desperate. It seems that Chimpy got a bounce in the number of Americans that "somewhat approve" of the way he's doing his job.

That's like saying; Hey, we don't think he's completely fucked-up too bad. Watch Hannity and Rush site this as proof..."PROOF I TELL YE" that Bush is on the rebound.

I'm laughing my ass off that Rasmussen actually put this into print. (Emphasis mine)

The President’s Job Approval Ratings have bounced up slightly in the first days of the New Year. Today, 44% of Americans say they at least Somewhat Approve of the way George W. Bush is performing his role. That figure includes 77% Approval from Republicans.

1. Yep
Look on the bright side: he didn't nuke any American cities.

Typical liberals, always looking on the dark side of things. /s

2. And about 300 million of us didn't get killed today
I mean, why doesn't the liberal media report these things?

5. Just some Americans in the Christmas Spirit
"Well, he kinda' didn't kill and eat a baby on national TV, so I'll give him that."

Isn't that like telling your wife, "No honey, that dress doesn't make you look too fat"?

6. That's true.
We've only lost the Pentagon, the WTC, 3000 troops, and a major American city under Bush.

We should be thankful.

3. The ONLY way to show any support of the chimp is by continuing to lower the bar...
Theyve been doing this since he debated Gore back in 2000. He never has to win anything, he simply has to do better than people expect. Hilarious.

11. I think what is fascinating is the "strongly" numbers
If you look at just those numbers it's

- Strongly approve - 19%
- Strongly disapprove - 40%

That 19% has got to be Freakers, Faux News addicts, and people with their radios welded to the stations that play Rush, Hannity and the other wing-nuts.

Imagine what those numbers would be with the "Fairness Doctrine" in place!

10. I think he's getting a bounce from Gerald Ford's death
There's no reason why he should, but with all the Repub eulogies over the past week, Bush is probably getting some relief from all the criticism.
