Immigration leaves USA vulnerable to Muslim extremists’ infiltration. by Virgil Goode
Read the comments section after his letter.

"A letter I sent in early December was written in response to hundreds of e-mails from constituents upset about Rep.-elect Keith Ellison's decision to use the Quran in connection with his congressional swearing-in. Their communications followed media reports that Ellison, a Minnesota Democrat, had said that he would swear on the Quran. He repeated that at a gathering of Muslims in Detroit on Dec. 26.

My letter did not call for a religious test for prospective members of Congress, as some have charged. Americans have the right to elect any person of their choosing to represent them. I indicated to my constituents that I did not subscribe to the Quran in any way, and I intended to use the Bible in connection with my swearing-in. I also stated that the Ten Commandments and "In God We Trust" are on the wall of my office, and I have no intention of displaying the Quran in my office. That is my choice, and I stand by my position and do not apologize for it."

1. I hope this FINALLY ruins his chances at re-election...
"As Rep. Goode was re-elected by the citizens of Virginia's 5th congressional district by a plurality of 59 percent, we can assume that as a bigot and an enemy of the Constitution, he must be representative of them. My condolences to the other 41 percent. You're being taken down with them."

Well, I'm in that 41%, which is higher than in 2004, so we're going in the right direction. Goode's one of those congressmen who gets by by not being too visible: he got into Congress on his dad's reputation and has largely managed to stay there for the same reason and because the 5th hasn't been destroyed by aliens, so people generally don't see much reason to vote him out.

Hopefully, this will be that reason and these will be his last two years--two years with a Democratic majority where all he's able to do is say this bigoted shit since he has no power anymore.

3. What about the Christian terrorists like Tim McVeigh who are all around us?
Virgil doesn't seemed too concerned about them.
