2. the "red x" means the graphic is not available
This is what Internet Explorer uses if it is supposed to put an image in some spot, and the image is not available. Firefox probably uses something else. It says nothing about Bush.

6. Red X?
What's that?

* looks old and worn out but as I said earlier, I guess excessive drinking will do that to a person. Spin will say he is 'tanned from clearing all that cedar from his 'ranch' over the holidays.'

Spare me. He's f'd up. Plus, shouldn't he just about be out of brush by now with all the vacation he takes? Cedar doesn't grow THAT fast does it?

9. He probably knows that Poppy is next
and given his guilt from the resentment he feels toward his father, and all the bitterness that's transpired between them over the years, he's going to be a godawful mess when it happens. There must have been scenes when Poppy called him a drunken, do-nothing disappointment of a son. He must have heard, "Why can't you be more like Jeb?" Then again, he must be awed by the old man and his competence in business and the public service posts he's held. When * looks in the mirror he knows he still doesn't measure up.

26. I respect karma, but sometimes I just have to ignore it.
If Bob Dylan can, so can I.

From "Masters of War", this is for all the bastards... Bush, Cheney, Rummy, Rice. All of them:

And I hope that you die
And your death'll come soon
I will follow your casket
In the pale afternoon
And I'll watch while you're lowered
Down to your deathbed
And I'll stand o'er your grave
'Til I'm sure that you're dead

I just hope I live long enough to see a few of them dead.

30. Somehow I feel that our revenge is nothing compared to what they will get.
I believe in justice and we should pursue justice for its own sake, always, because without justice there is no resolution and no peace.

But some things I feel will be worked out in the fullness of time and we cannot always know how that will happen. But happen it does. And our justice may be nothing compared to the justice that is finally meted out. I know that sounds a little wishy washy but I truly do believe it.

Let's hope for a scalding public shaming!

47. Check THIS out...
In my trivia-stuffed mind was the memory that Lord Castlereagh's coffin was stoned as it was carried through the streets.
OK, DU says you gotta provide a link for stuff, so I looked him up.

http://www.spartacus.schoolnet.co.uk/PRcastlereagh.htm
There's lots more, but this really caught my eye...

Lord Liverpool's government decided to take action to prevent further large meetings demanding social reform. In November 1819, Parliament was assembled and Castlereagh introduced in the House of Commons the severe measures that became known as the Six Acts. Castlereagh, who was the government's spokesman for civil matters in the House of Commons, along with Lord Liverpool and Lord Sidmouth, the Home Secretary, took the blame for these repressive measures and the men were booed whenever they appeared in public.

Now let's take a look at the Six Acts...
http://www.spartacus.schoolnet.co.uk/PRsix.htm
1) Training Prevention Act A measure which made any person attending a gathering for the purpose of training or drilling liable to arrest. People found guilty of this offence could be transportated for seven years.

(2) Seizure of Arms Act A measure that gave power to local magistrates to search any property or person for arms.

(3) Seditious Meetings Prevention Act A measure which prohibited the holding of public meetings of more than fifty people without the consent of a sheriff or magistrate.

(4) The Misdemeanours Act A measure that attempted to reduce the delay in the administration of justice.

(5) The Blasphemous and Seditious Libels Act A measure which provided much stronger punishments, including banishment for publications judged to be blaspemous or sedtious.

(6) Newspaper and Stamp Duties Act A measure which subjected certain radical publications which had previously avoided stamp duty by publishing opinion and not news, to such duty.

These measures were opposed by the Whigs as being a suppression of popular rights and liberties. They warned that it was unreasonable to pass national laws to deal with problems that only existed in certain areas. The Whigs also warned that these measures would encourage radicals to become even more rebellious.

by Ford's casket. Former presidents (and soon to be former presidents--Dubya) probably feel a teeny bit nervous at funerals for former presidents. As someone else said, Dubya also has to think about his parents dying. I can't imagine being 60 and still having living parents.

making these catastrofucked decisions for everyone.

You do know that we have to make an example of Cheney, Rove and Bush in order to send a message? Otherwise, these businessmen that want to rule the world, are just going to keep making these decisions and get us closer to our final days, and this planet can't take another swollen headed capitalist president.
